Safety First

Louis J Acompora

At Lighthouse Lacrosse your child’s safety is our first priority. Parents can rest assure their children will be in good hands and know that Lighthouse is doing everything in their power to make the camp as safe as possible. On hand will be an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Heat Index Monitor, certified athletic trainers, as well as water and ice.

Lighthouse Lacrosse will be donating a portion of the camp proceeds to the Louis J. Acompora Memorial Foundation. The Foundation's mission is to prevent commotio cordis, and it's success stories are directly attributable to the generous donations from our supporters. The Foundations efforts are focused along several paths. The first is awareness of the need for AEDs, particularly where our children spend most of their time - in the schools, the second is the the implementation of public access defibrillation programs, the third is training of individuals in CPR and the use of an AED, and the fourth is research, which will ultimately develop chest protection to protect against sudden cardiac arrest in young athletes.
